Dr. Sheputa (they/them) is a 2023 graduate of Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University , where they cultivated a specific focus in animal behavior, accessible individualized care, and the celebration and maintenance of the human-animal bond. As such, they strive to create a welcoming and communicative environment for every unique patient and client. They love seeing exotics, and are a part of the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians (ARAV). Dr. Sheputa is also especially passionate about geriatric and palliative care; they have received a certificate as a companion animal end-of-life doula from the University of Vermont, and are a member of the International Association of Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAHPC).
Dr. Sheputa lives in Clinton with their partner, along with Meatloaf the American pitbull terrier, Goblin, Uszka, and Soup the chihuahuas, and Gilly the spicy trash cat. Their partner has banned them from acquiring any more animals. In their free time, they enjoy embroidering, knitting, reading, and video games that involve farming.
